Linux Packages

Arch Linux users can install Diakonos from AUR. This can be done with yaourt -S diakonos.

There are Debian and Ubuntu packages for Diakonos for each of the stability releases of these distros (stable, testing, etc.). Installation should be possible using the normal Debian/Ubuntu package manager(s). Ubuntu users should be aware of this Ubuntu bug, though.

Slackware users can check out the Diakonos slackbuild.

Sourcemage users can just cast diakonos.

FreeBSD users can install the Diakonos port with: cd /usr/ports/editors/diakonos/ ; make install clean

Exherbo users can use this package.

Gentoo users will have to wait for Gentoo officials to accept my ebuild, but in the meantime, you can put the ebuild in /usr/local/portage/app-editors/diakonos/ then emerge diakonos. The emerge will likely fail; before emerging, you may need to follow one line of instructions (found in the failure messages) to digest the ebuild:

ebuild <path to downloaded ebuild> digest

If you want to see Diakonos accepted into the official Portage tree, please vote for the ebuild bug.

If you create a package for any other distro, please let me know, and I will include it here.
